About Me

My name is Hosanna Eden. I’m sixteen years old, and I’ve been painting since I was ten. My grandmother taught me so much about how to use color, and I’ve loved chasing colorful things ever since.

And then there are the birds. You might be able to tell I like them a lot! To me they are a symbol of fragile beauty, of hope and happiness — and I truly believe every bird deserves to be painted. Big or small, backyard regular or rare visitor, each one has something worth capturing.

Birds aren’t just what I paint; they’re how I spend my days. I keep six birdfeeders going for the birdwatching, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than sitting with my flock of sixteen chickens.

I work in watercolor and acrylics. Watercolor was my first love — bright colors moving effortlessly across the paper, perfect for capturing the life in a bird — and acrylics let me explore even more.

I’m so happy I get to paint every single day. After all, there are still thousands of birds out there, and I can’t wait to paint them.
